Question 1

Do I need to be on-site during my window cleaning?

Accepted Answer

Not necessarily. For most commercial properties, we coordinate directly with building management to ensure access and scheduling are handled efficiently. For residential services, we'll confirm access requirements ahead of time to make the process as smooth as possible.

Question 2

Do I need to remove window screens before cleaning?

Accepted Answer

For most residential homes, no — our team can handle screen removal and reinstallation as part of the service. For residential high-rise buildings, screens must be removed prior to cleaning if they cannot be operated from the exterior. Exterior-only service requires screens that slide from outside or be removed before arrival.

Question 3

Should items be removed from windowsills before cleaning?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We recommend removing any personal or delicate items from windowsills prior to service to prevent accidental damage and allow our team to work efficiently.

Question 4

Does your window cleaning include sills and frames?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Our standard service includes cleaning of glass, sills, and accessible frames to ensure a complete, professional finish. Scope will always be confirmed in advance.

Question 5

Do my building anchors need to be certified?

Accepted Answer

Yes. OSHA and ANSI standards require fall protection anchors to be properly maintained and inspected. Most systems require annual visual inspections and load testing every 10 years, or sooner if structural or roof changes occur.

Question 6

How often should windows be professionally cleaned?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the type of property and exposure. Most commercial properties benefit from 2–4 cleanings per year, while high-traffic or high-visibility buildings may require more frequent service.

Question 7

Are you insured and can you provide documentation?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Premier Window Cleaning carries full liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage. Certificates of insurance (COI) can be provided upon request.

Question 8

Do you use subcontractors?

Accepted Answer

No. All work is performed by our in-house, union-trained employees. This ensures full control over safety, quality, and accountability on every project.

Question 9

How do you ensure safety on high-rise or complex projects?

Accepted Answer

Safety is our top priority. We follow strict OSHA, ANSI, and IWCA standards, conduct ongoing safety training, and utilize proper fall protection systems, certified anchors, and engineered equipment.

Question 10

Can you work around tenants, patients, or occupied spaces?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We regularly service hospitals, universities, and occupied commercial properties. Our crews are trained to work professionally and discreetly.

Question 11

What happens if weather impacts the scheduled service?

Accepted Answer

Safety always comes first. If conditions are unsafe, we will reschedule promptly and coordinate with your team to minimize delays.

Question 12

How do you price your services?

Accepted Answer

Pricing is based on factors such as building height, access method, frequency, and overall scope. We provide clear, detailed proposals with no surprises.

Question 13

Can you handle both window cleaning and anchor inspections/testing?

Accepted Answer

Yes. In addition to window cleaning, we offer fall protection anchor inspections, testing, and certification through our sister company, Premier Building Anchors.

Question 14

Do you offer ongoing maintenance programs?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We can create customized maintenance schedules based on your property's needs to keep your building looking its best year-round.
